Vacation Dreaming

If you're anything like us, you've been dreaming of a holiday since the second the world locked down. A 24 hour plane flight no longer feels like a chore but an absolute luxury, one we can't wait to enjoy. So take a seat, pick up a G&T and imagine yourself in one of the vacation destinations at the top of our list (all containing on-brand, crystal clear, sparkling turquoise pools of course).

Alto Atacama Desert Lodge & Spa - San Pedro de Atacama, Chile

The Catarpe Valley is far away, but rest assured the Alto Atacama resort is well worth the journey. Among the arid plains, you will find an absolutely lush resort, where you can shower outdoors among the gardens, marvel at the unique architecture, dine on local cuisine and get massaged into a daze at the spa. If you're the adventurous type, you will be more than catered for too. Geysers, nature reserves, sandboarding and stargazing are just a few items on the activity menu, ready for you to peruse.

Punta Caliza - Isla Holbox, Mexico
Skip nearby Cancun and its hordes of spring breakers and head to Isla Holbox, the Yucatan Peninsula's hidden gem. Unwind immediately by slipping into your own private plunge pool, or get your cardio in by hiring a bike and cycling the 1.5km width of the island (but certainly not the length, at 41km it might take a while). If you're feeling particularly lazy, you can spend $2 on an hour in an oceanside hammock, and simply have a nap. Tulum is currrently hogging the spotlight as the destination for a glam Mexican vacay, but we dare say Isla Holbox is waiting in the wings and ready to steal the show.

Amangiri - Utah, USA
Oh, what we would give to clink glasses with the likes of Kris Jenner and Victoria Beckham at the vast Amangiri resort in Utah. Your favourite celeb has definitely spent a weekend here, taking instagram pics by the fire pit and acting like they own the place. Although, it's easy to pretend you've got the whole valley to yourself when your room faces the endless desert, with no other guests in sight. All that sun will surely tire you out, so make sure you take a leisurely nap on a lounge by the pool, won't you? And if you're looking for a break from all that relaxation, the grand canyon is only a few hours away.

Terme Di Saturnia Spa - Tuscany, Italy
If you too have watched Under The Tuscan Sun recently and are considering a move to Italy, join the queue! We're obviously going to live at the Terme Di Saturnia Spa in beautiful Tuscany. Let's spend our days in a thermal bath, with massages and facials on demand. When we've been pampered to within an inch of our lives, we'll take a day trip or two or five to the famous hot springs at the Cascate Di Mulino, and perhaps even have a round of golf (no? just me?).
